生まれ変わって第9回目、通算24回目を迎えました。
この世界には、いろんな国、いろんな文化を持つさまざまな人が暮らしています。
そのちがいゆえに、いろんな面倒も生じますが、そのちがいを認めあえば、もっと豊かでオモシロイ社会になるのではないか、ということでこのイベントは始まりました。しかし現実は、だんだんと息苦しい方向にすすんでいるように感じられます。
一人ひとりが、あきらめないで、少しでもよい方向を考えて前を見ていけば、いろんなことに対処できると思っています。
一年に一回のイベント、5月の青空の下、楽しく過ごしましょう。

Greetings from the 2016 “We’re Different and That’s Great”
This event is our twenty-fourth from the very beginning, and the ninth since our “rebirth.”
We live in the world full of people from a variety of nations and cultures. The differences among us may cause a lot of problems and conflicts. If we acknowledge these very differences, however, our society can be more refined and interesting. This is what we have believed ever since we started organizing this event. In reality, however, we feel like people in this society are slowly being suffocated today.
All we believe now is that everyone’s unflinching and forward-looking attitude can make a great difference under any circumstances.
Under the blue sky of May, we hope everyone will fully enjoy this annual event.
